Nineteenth-Century Florida is the setting for this routinely acted and scripted story in which Cochran scourges through the Everglades in an attempt to get his convict brother, Stevens, to the safety of Cuba. They never make it there, even though Mathews gives them refuge while falling in
love with Cochran. The bullheaded Stevens runs into a bunch of angry Seminoles whom he decides to fight and is killed in the process. Some nifty footage of the wildlife of the swamps, given a nice color tint, is worth a watch.
