Lee plays the rough-and-tumble daughter of the proprietors of a rundown boarding house. She takes an immediate liking to the new mechanic in town, Archer, but the object of her desire is married and expecting a kid. Archer, in his naive way, is taken with the excitement of local hoods, who wind up asking the kid to drive a getaway car.
