Shantytown

Lee plays the rough-and-tumble daughter of the proprietors of a rundown boarding house. She takes an immediate liking to the new mechanic in town, Archer, but the object of her desire is married and expecting a kid. Archer, in his naive way, is taken with the excitement of local hoods, who wind up asking the kid to drive a getaway car. When Archer is forced into hiding because of the holdup, Lee goes onto an amateur-hour show in an effort to reunite Archer with his wife, Lord. The picture moves along at a good pace, with Lee proving to have a diversity of talent.
