Shamrock Hill

1949, Movie, NR, 70 mins

A pleasant enough picture that features Ryan as a firm believer in the power of leprechauns. She brings local children to an abandoned hill and tells them fairy tales there. Her little Utopia is almost destroyed when businessman Litel buys the property so he can build a television station. Ryan, with help from McDonald, takes Litel to court and wins. Ryan supplies the needed charm as well as a pleasant singing voice. Of the songs she sings, "Do You Believe" (Robert Bilder) is probably the best. "Madcap Mood" (Bilder, George O. Walbridge) also provides musical background for a dance number by Ryan and McDonald.
