Inferior remake of the 1948 Bob Hope vehicle PALEFACE, with Knotts trying to fill the shoes of Hope, and Rhoades those of Jane Russell. TV director Rafkin had the honors of making Knotts look stupid, which isn't very hard. The film is done in pure television style, the only difference being the Techniscope photography.
