E. Elias Merhige's imaginative fantasia of the making of the classic vampire film Nosferatu is a creepy, clever film buff's delight. The year is 1921, and flamboyant German filmmaker F.W. Murnau (John Malkovich) is filming an unauthorized version of Bram Stoker's Dracula on a distant island.
