A run-of-the-mill murder story, which features the first film appearance by well-known Shakespearean actress Collier, who had been coaching MGM stars in drama and diction. The story involves an actress, Bruce, who is charged with murder. Cortez wants to marry her, but Collier, his wealthy
aunt, will disown him and cut him out of her will if he keeps chasing Bruce. Suddenly, she has a change of heart, believes her nephew, and works at getting Bruce declared innocent. The actual killer is revealed to be Toomey.
