Seven Alone

Another entry in a rash of substandard children's films. This one, set during the westward pioneer push of the 1800s, tells of a family of seven children who suddenly find themselves orphaned while on the Oregon Trail. Stranded, the kids decide to continue the lengthy journey on their own, helped, and sometimes obstructed, by the eccentric group of wilderness characters they meet along the way. Though inoffensive and harmless, the film is also bland and uninteresting for children as well as adults. The innocuous theme song is sung by Pat Boone.
