Excellent lighting effects show off Tokyo, but lackluster performances drag this film down. The story is simple, with York a prince in the navy who strikes up a romance with bus driver Aoki. Not only do they have to battle class differences, but a sub-plot that has a bunch of killers after
York is also thrown in. Both get away and enjoy each other's company at a secluded lake, where photographer Henri Decae's work shines, particularly with the moonlight and rising sun shots. This was Aoki's first English-speaking role.
