Serpent Of The Nile

No one is the good guy in this tale of Mark Antony's rise to power. He succumbs to the evil ways of Cleopatra and falls from power just as quickly as he ascended. Wooden dialog hurts all the participants. Burr proposes a merger between Rome and Egypt. Fleming agrees and quickly plans Burr's death, so she can take over the entire empire. Her plan is thwarted by Lundigan who brings in the Roman army and becomes the reason Fleming commits suicide. Burr comes off too weak to be a powerful leader, and Fleming's dialog does not suit an Egyptian empress. If the set looks familiar, it's because it was used in SALOME, 1953.
