Nothing is sacred in this scathingly funny film that sends up California lifestyles of the 1970s. Martin Mull and Tuesday Weld star as a husband and wife struggling to save their marriage while all around them seems to be in trendy chaos. Much of the comedy comes from the interaction
between Mull's family and that of his neighbor, Bill Macy. Director Bill Persky, who previously worked strictly in television, made the switch to the big screen with no problem.
