Set entirely in one location--a country home somewhere in Vermont--SEPTEMBER is more than a look at a family; it is a look at a small universe of people. Diane (Elaine Stritch) is an aging sex symbol who has survived the traumas of her past by letting them bounce off her tough veneer.
