See No Evil, Hear No Evil

SEE NO EVIL, HEAR NO EVIL is the third film to costar Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder (SILVER STREAK and STIR CRAZY preceded it). Wilder plays Dave, the deaf owner of a newsstand, who hires Wally (Pryor), a blind gambler, to work for him. Wally's bookie comes to the newsstand to collect a debt and is shot by a mysterious woman, Eve (Joan Severance), but, before dying, he drops a priceless coin into Dave's cigar box till. Wally and Dave are mistaken for the killers and arrested. Hoping to get their hands on the coin, which has since found its way into Wally's pocket, Eve and her English partner (Kevin Spacey) pose as lawyers and offer to post bail for Dave and Wally. ...
