Kruger plays a successful criminal lawyer who leads a double-life as the head of a powerful crime syndicate. His college-age daughter Thayer causes him nothing but trouble and forces him to take action when she falls in love with one of his goons. Not wanting her to marry a crook, Kruger has the goon bumped off, but the plan backfires and Thayer is arrested for murder.
