A tale of political assassination that follows the lives of two sisters, Cortese and Hepburn, who are orphaned and forced to move to London after their father is murdered by a brutal European ruler in 1930. Seven years later, Cortese meets up with the boy friend she left behind, Reggiani, and the two plot to assassinate the evil ruler with a time bomb.
