Madness is in the eye of the audience. And in the world according to Dennis Potter, there exist a myriad of "realities" that one can inhabit. You simply have to accept the idea that one perception may be just as valid as another. That's the

schizophrenic think-piece concocted and directed by Potter, who does not serve his original novel
