Reynolds is a young widow who packs up her two children and moves out to Arizona in 1912 in search of a new beginning. She becomes a cowgirl, is wooed by ranchers Forrest and Griffith (Forrest wins), and eventually works her way up to sheriff, vowings vows to clean the town of all nasty varmints.
