An interesting but lamely executed Nazi drama about a suspected SS man (Hoyt), who Milland believes may be innocent. Even after a guilty verdict is secured, Milland, the Army prosecutor, hunts for the evidence that will save the German's skin. Marly offers her aid in proving Hoyt's innocence. As expected, a number of angry Nazi-haters throw accusations at Milland and Marly for being sympathizers, but in the end the pair are treated like heroes. This was the first US film for Czechoslovakian actress Marly. leave a comment
