An interesting but lamely executed Nazi drama about a suspected SS man (Hoyt), who Milland believes may be innocent. Even after a guilty verdict is secured, Milland, the Army prosecutor, hunts for the evidence that will save the German's skin. Marly offers her aid in proving Hoyt's
innocence. As expected, a number of angry Nazi-haters throw accusations at Milland and Marly for being sympathizers, but in the end the pair are treated like heroes. This was the first US film for Czechoslovakian actress Marly.
