A Coast Guard drama which features Brennan as a father rearing his own son, Jaeckel, as well as the orphaned Derek. Both boys enter the Coast Guard Academy to begin their training, but, after a boozing brawl over Hendrix, Derek gets the boot, and loses Jaeckel's friendship. Derek works his way back to the top rung, becoming a hero to both Hendrix and his foster dad, as well as reaffirming his friendship with Jaeckel.
