Set against the backdrop of the Napoleonic Wars, this costume adventure stars De Carlo as a British agent pretending to be a French countess to whom she bears a strong resemblance. Hudson, a smuggler, helps her sail to France where he believes she is going to rescue her royal brother. Eventually she is caught by the French authorities, and Hudson stages a daring rescue.
