This well-executed adaptation of the classic Dickens tale remains brilliantly faithful to the original. The familiar story this time features Seymour Hicks as the greedy old man, Ebenezer Scrooge, who has a change of heart on Christmas Eve when he looks into his lonely past and future. Hicks had played this role many times in the previous quarter-century, and, by the time this was made in 1935, he had become Scrooge. leave a comment

The jingle goes, "Thank you very much, thank you very much, that's the nicest thing that anyone's ever done for me." I know I have heard this before. Does it come on every holiday season, or is it from a song? I need to find a way to get it out of my head!

Answer: Well, I can tell you where it's from, but you're on your own in trying to get it out of your head, Jaime.
