Screamplay

Filmed in a very self-conscious 1940s B-movie style, SCREAMPLAY centers on Edgar Allen (Rufus Butler Seder, who also directed the film), an aspiring young screenwriter. On arriving in Hollywood, he meets an agent who promises to add Allen to his stable of talent if he can produce a good horror film script quickly. Allen then meets Martin (George Kuchar), an avant-garde filmmaker, who happens to be the caretaker of the seedy Welcome Apartments. Needing a place to live and having little money, Allen accepts a job as the building's janitor in exchange for an apartment.
