Full of mysterious twists and turns, this expertly crafted thriller casts Strasberg as the wheelchair-bound step-daughter of Todd. Strasberg pays a visit to her father's Riviera resort, having never met Todd before, and learns that her dad is away on business. She gets a bit suspicious, however, when in the middle of the night she finds her father's corpse propped up in the backyard. Of course everyone thinks she's crazy, but the same thing happens the next night. She suspects a plot to drive her mad and enlists the aid of chauffeur Lewis. The tricky end reveals, among other things, that Strasberg isn't really the daughter, but a friend of the dead girl investigating the shady Todd. More mistaken identities are uncovered in a climactic scene which takes place at the edge of a cliff. The perfect film to show those people that always seem to figure out the ending after the first half hour. leave a comment
