Swanson plays a demented artist, in this screamer, who disfigures his model's faces as inspiration for his art. Harris, a rock musician, is in love with Wingate and is jealous of her relationship with his fellow rocker Martell. He tries to break up the Wingate-Martell relationship by provoking a fight between the two, but this only sends them off to the deserted beach where Swanson lives. Once at the beach, Martell is strangled by Swanson. After murdering her boyfriend, Swanson selects Wingate as his next victim.
