Loder takes over Edmund Lowe's role from the 1930 version of this picture as the bank robber who undergoes plastic surgery after being injured in the war. He begins to lead the life of the banker he now resembles (who is actually a POW in Germany) and carries on with the banker's wife
while planning a heist. It doesn't take Scotland Yard inspector Gwenn too long to figure out that something's wrong. Loder straightens out his act when he exposes a scheme by a German spy ring to clean out the bank.
