Canova is an Ozark Mountain girl who mistakenly gets "discovered" by a Hollywood film producer who arranges a scam in which a real actress is planted in the hills and then is reported to be a new discovery. Some signals get mixed up and the unsuspecting Canova is mistakenly whisked off to Hollywood and stardom. Musical numbers include "Scatterbrain" (Johnny Burke, Frankie Masters, Kahn Keene, Carl Bean) and "Benny the Beaver" (Johnny Lange, Lew Porter). leave a comment
