The Scarab Murder Case: Review

An inferior portrayal of the popular sleuth Philo Vance (best done by the convincing Basil Rathbone in THE BISHOP MURDER CASE, 1930), with White as the American detective in London to uncover the murderer of a millionaire. An interesting twist has archaeologist Robinson, who appears to be an innocent victim accused of the crime, actually turning out to be the killer. Pretty boring, with White making a poor detective, much less an American. leave a comment
