Basically a vehicle for Bradna, a French actress Paramount was trying its hardest to promote at the time. The comedy offers very few laughs, despite a script that had potential if it had been handled properly. Milland, in a tiresome portrayal, plays a golf pro who meets and falls in love with Bradna. They quickly marry, only to return to the States and find Milland's folks have arranged a society marriage for him to acquire financial backing for the family business. Hiding his true marriage from his parents, Milland goes through with an engagement to rich girl Hervey.
