Savannah Driscoll (Bridgette Andersen) runs away from her rich parents because they won't give her enough attention. During her travels she is picked up by a pair of escaped convicts (Mark Miller and Donovan Scott), who decide to kidnap her and demand a $100,000 ransom. An affectionate relationship builds between the criminals and the lovable little girl. Meanwhile, her father decides to have a brutal, militaristic cop pursue the kidnappers. The parents' marriage crumbles under the strain, the mother finding it impossible to contend with her husband. The film was made with a naive energy that is quite charming, although a little less sugary approach would work better. Andersen is effective as the little girl. leave a comment
