Savage Streets

Linda Blair stars in this typical vengeance picture as Brenda, an angry young sweater girl who is a combination of Mamie Van Doren and Charles Bronson. She's a member of a Los Angeles high school gang called the "Satins" who is brought to the boiling point when her deaf-mute sister is raped by some degenerates who call themselves the "Scars." Brenda dons her commando outfit (which shows an appropriate amount of flesh) and a crossbow and hits the streets. She then gives the Scars an overdose of their own medicine. This is Blair's best performance since THE EXORCIST (1973), but that's not saying much.
