Sarge Goes To College

The barren plot concerns a tough and not-very-bright marine sergeant (Hale) who is taking it easy before undergoing a serious operation by, of all things, going to college. This sets the stage for the Sarge to go through dramatics more typical of a high-school student. It's all just an excuse for a musical display anyway, which is integrated quite well into the meager story. Guitar great Les Paul is among the many performers.
