Sandy Gets Her Man: Review

The lovable little tyke of Universal Studios, Baby Sandy, takes on city departments in one of her better outings. The police department and fire department are slugging it out for the better portion of a major municipal contract. Davidson is the councilman who must choose between the two and, by no mean coincidence, is also Sandy's grandfather. Erwin is the fireman who competes for the affections of Sandy's mother (Merkel) with Carson, a cop. Merkel has difficulty choosing, but Davidson doesn't after Sandy crawls into a burning building and is rescued by the fire department. Guess who gets the contract. Kennedy does a few slow burns of his own in the role of fire chief while Frawley plays his rival on the police department. Though this is no great comedy, it has some funny moments of slapstick and the cast members do give it their best. leave a comment
