is one of those films that you hope will be awesome. It has all the potential to be a beautifully photographed and suspenseful underwater adventure; unfortunately, it loses its mojo straight off the bat. The film plays out like a typical adventure film, complete with life-and-death situations -- in this case, broken oxygen tanks, cave-ins, decompression sickness, and hypothermia. At times, though, it feels like you’re watching one of those educational films that you’d see on an elementary-school field trip to the science center, and at others, much like the winding caves in the film, there seems to be no end in sight.
