It is 1940 and the San Demetrio, a merchant marine tanker, is crippled at sea. It's up to the crew to bring it in, which of course is managed after a few harrowing adventures. For its time, SAN DEMETRIO, LONDON served its purpose well as war propaganda. However, a different era has really aged this film. What could once be accepted by audiences now plays as a story riddled with plot holes and unbelievable sequences. Based on a true story. leave a comment
