Sailors On Leave

Lundigan is a navy man hopelessy in debt to the other crew members on board a battleship. He hates women but his buddies jokingly fake a marriage between him and cafe singer Ross. But other crew members, who have it in for Lundigan, fix it so the marriage is the real thing. There's a mix-up involving some stolen jewels, but all is naturally righted by the film's end. The problem here lies with the plotting. There are too many threads, some of which get tangled and others of which lead nowhere. Lundigan and Ross are okay but limited by the material.
