Allyson meets Walker one night and, thinking she's found a navy hero, decides to marry him. He gets discharged (to her disappointment), and the adjustment to civilian life provides all the laughs. He becomes an innocent target for Totter, who has more than just friendship in mind. While he's dodging her, Allyson has to elude her amorous boss (Cronyn).
