Clive Cussler's best-selling action novels about the globe-trotting escapades of Dirk Pitt, the man from NUMA (National Underwater & Marine Agency) are light, boy's-own adventures filled with preposterous derring-do and studded with nuggets of historical and geopolitical fact.
