Meet Jen, Matt, Ben, Lisa, Caroline and "Nasty" Nigel, the nation's favorite six contestants from a Survivor Island reality TV show. It's six months later, and the former beach housemates are being reunited back on the island for a reunion show special, taking the slow route to the island on a beautiful yacht. Once on the island, the group is surprised to find no one there... no crew, no cameras, nothing. Their surprise turns to shock when they find their beach house trashed and one of the walls scrawled with the warning, "You will all die." Convincing themselves that this is no more than a sadistic prank by the TV crew to scare them, they agree to stay the night and wait for the cameras to turn up the next day. But the next day brings no cameras and, on top of that, the yacht has gone missing... leaving them stranded. Something is very, very wrong on Survivor Island... and someone is out there in the jungle, watching, stalking, and ready for the kill. watch

"The winter started off like any other, except that this one began with a murder," notes Allen Fielding, a writer who never writes. Instantly, the tone of SAFETY IN NUMBERS is set. Taking place in the Orange County hardcore scene circa 1996, SAFETY IN NUMBERS shows you yet another side of the OC. Allen is on the sidelines of life. He's in love with his former next door neighbor, Lori, who happens to be dating Isaac, a popular musician in the Orange County music scene. In short, he's everything that Allen isn't, which suddenly drives Allen to deeply absorb himself into his screenplay writing. By doing this, he deals with life on his terms. Fending off distractions, mainly friends who don't take him seriously, Allen thinks that his hard work has finally paid off when he gains some interest from a literary agency. He then meets and befriends Issac, and it is here that Allen's closed off world is turned upside down. Shot on location in Orange County, CA, SAFETY IN NUMBERS is a timely docum watch

The second that Don brought home...

The second that Don brought home the preteen whose mother had just been murdered, I literally thought, "Can we keep him?" I know it isn't as easy as adopting a puppy, but watching Don, his dad and Charlie all interact with this little man added such an interesting dynamic to this show. Sure, he's probably happy with his grandmother halfway across the country, but I think he would have fit in well with this boys' club. I did like that Alan said that watching Don with the kid gave him hope for future grandchildren. Let's hope so. Much as I love all the crime solving, it would be nice if the hard-working guys on this show had some fun dating games that didn't involve their cases or work. The case itself was very timely and ripped from the headlines again, but the math this week was so over my head. There were anomalies and imperfect equations with no clear answers. I don't get those kind of puzzles, I like the logic with one answer, I must have slept through the randomness class. Instead, read more
