Two Israeli spies are caught bugging an Arab phone exchange. One is killed and the other, Dayan, is tortured to reveal his accomplices. When these measures fail, he is turned over to Tamiroff, a kindly, aging police inspector who tries kindness, even taking the youthful spy into his
