Sten is a Russian nurse at the front lines during WW II who tends to an injured American, Smith, the victim of a plane crash. In the midst of the fighting and the injuries, the pair becomes attracted to each other, but nothing ever really comes of the romance. By the end of the picture, they part and resume their duties.
