Running Out Of Luck: Review
Rock personality Mick Jagger, lead singer of The Rolling Stones, decided to act in and serve as executive producer on a feature film/rock video with songs from his latest album, "She's the Boss." The film's plot is as follows, if you can believe it. Jagger and girl friend Jerry Hall are in Rio de Janeiro to film a rock video. An angry Hall storms back to New York City and Jagger, fed up with the megalomania of the director (Dennis Hopper), bolts off the set with three heavily made-up extras who beat him senseless, stuff him into the back of a meat truck, and then put another body into a car which they push into the bay. The truck drives off and Jagger is deposited many miles away on a banana plantation as a sex slave. In the meantime, the sunken car has been found and the entire world assumes that Jagger is dead. On the plantation Jagger meets a slave girl (Rae Dawn Chong), falls in love with her, and decides that he must escape. RUNNING OUT OF LUCK is an attempt by Jagger to make more than your typical rock video. Unfortunately, he doesn't know how. Don't waste precious time watching it--life is too short.
