Tognazzi is an Italian businessman who, while on business in the US, decides he's going to marry an American woman. But every woman he meets is either disinclined to marry him, or has some characteristic that scares him off. He has an encounter with a woman in Miami, Prowse, but she's married. Fleming, a rich Texan, has had too many husbands for Tognazzi. A stewardess, Granata, says no to his marriage proposal; his budding relationship with a teenager frightens the bachelor, and his relationship with a divorcee falls apart when her ex-husband comes back because of Tognazzi's praise of her. Things come to a halt when his marriage proposal to a whore is turned down. Dejected, Tognazzi goes back to his unexciting, but stable, relationship with his fiancee of 13 years. leave a comment
