Smith, a member of the Devil's Advocates motorcycle gang, writes an expose on a motorcycle gang and sells it to a magazine for $10,000. Before long, his fellow bikers come after him. With his girlfriend, Starrett, he hightails it out of San Francisco and ends up at a sheep ranch in northern California. The ranch owner, Kemp, a former biker, gives Smith and Starrett jobs and a place to stay.
