Roughshod

Sterling and Jarman are brothers traveling from Nevada to California with a herd of horses. On the way they unwillingly pick up a group of dance-hall girls whose wagon is out of commission. The brothers soon discover that they are being pursued by the ruthless Ireland, who wants to settle a score with Sterling. They continue on their journey, but eventually the showdown occurs. Ireland is killed, of course, and Sterling survives, with every indication that he'll wed Grahame, the dance-hall operator. This well-written screenplay could have used a more heroic cast.
