This vicious neo-noir suffers from a hollow script, but it features a breathtaking performance by Lena Olin as a femme fatale named Mona Demarkov that has to be seen to be believed. When Mona talks about her "first time," she means murder. The film also stars Gary Oldman and Juliette Lewis, but chances are you won't even notice.
