A charming, unjustly neglected minor gem, the kind that were so commonly made in the 1930s but not nearly so often since. Rogers plays Sylvia Dennis, a hard-working young woman who looks after her cute kid brother Frank (Butler). She meets up with likable Czech immigrant Karel Novak
(Lederer), who finds work in New York as a taxi driver. He encounters all sorts of unfriendly people and situations threatening his hopes of citizenship, but all ends well. A very agreeable showcase for Rogers and Lederer, nicely handled by the reliable Stephen Roberts.
