Ritter is a Texas Ranger who arrives in town on his horse White Flash to settle a water rights war and solve a murder. The sheep-herders and cattlemen are feuding over who owns the water, and the singing cowboy plays diplomat and brings about a peaceful solution after the two factions
have shot at each other enough. Ritter also solves a murder by tricking the killer, Sherlock-Holmes-style, into confessing. Not one of the better Ritter westerns. Grand National was teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, and the last reel of the film is footage from an earlier Ritter western (SING
COWBOY SING, 1937).
