Roger Dodger: Review

Campbell Scott's fiendishly mercurial performance as a razor-tongued womanizer is a revelation, but it's only one of this nimble film's pleasures. Roger (Scott) knows that the real power of words is that people never expect them to hurt so much. His festering insecurities, however, seep through the polished facade over the course of a long, harrowing evening spent carousing with Roger's teenage nephew (Jesse Eisenberg), a slightly geeky high-school senior desperate to lose his virginity.
