was rock 'n' roll. The story is barely evident--legendary rock deejay Alan Freed discovers Bill Haley and the
Comets in a mountain village and brings them back to New York, where they quickly become a musical phenomenon. Katzman was correct in assuming that if rock concerts could cause youth riots, so could a movie. In England, soon after a couple of screenings, young rockers were tearing up the seats and
