Sicilian ex-boxer Mastroianni comes to Chicago to see a bout with some friends, but after some battering in the big city, he becomes a hardened cynic with anarchist leanings. This you-can-take-the-boy-out-of-the-country-but film, nominally set in Chicago, was, oddly, originally scheduled to be shot in New York City. More permissive labor conditions ultimately mandated Europe for the production, which was released there in 1971. It was top model Hutton's first international starring venture. Vaguely intriguing, but no more. leave a comment
